HVJF-99 Visual Ultrasonic Detector
Acoustic emission technology, a common on-line monitoring technology for partial discharge, is suitable for detecting the surface discharge or creepage of high-voltage electrical equipment, such as the supporting insulators of high-voltage transmission line, high voltage cables and accessories, etc.
HVJF-99 is exactly designed for this purpose. It is a sort of portable instrument powered by battery with ultra-low power dissipation. The high-brightness green-laser collimation equipment is convenient for the users to locate the target even under the strong light. The camera with telescopic function can achieve the visualization of partial discharge in ultrasonic detection. It can also take and save pictures of the discharge-parts when locating the fault of partial discharge. The earphone output can convert the ultrasonic signal to the acoustical signal that can be heard. It improves the efficiency and is suitable for multiple working occasions.

The instruction of detection sensitivity: the sensitivity detections are respectively described for corona discharge and spark-plug discharge at different discharge capacity and different detection distances.
1) As for corona discharge:
The point-discharge adjusts the different discharge capacity by changing the shape of point, the section area and the height of point; only the point-discharges below 70pc have been selected for testing this time.

2) As for spark-plug discharge
The characteristics of spark-plug discharge is that the spark plug starts to discharge when the voltage is applied to the incipient discharge voltage; and the apparent discharge of the spark plug will not increase as the voltage increases, but the acoustic signal generated by discharge are strengthened with it.
The test data in the table below is completed under the discharge voltage of 5kV. According to the data, the signal received by corona gun in the range of 15m shows an over-range state from the view of screen waveform, and 50dB may be the maximum value displayed at G0 tap.
