Tech: Why can't the DC system be grounded?
I. Why can't the DC system be grounded?
The DC system cannot be grounded, mainly because it is easy to cause serious safety
accidents after grounding. In fact, once the DC system is grounded, a large amount of
current will flow to the ground, because the resistance of the ground is very small,
which will greatly increase the circuit loss and damage the electrical equipment.
In addition, grounding may also cause electromagnetic interference of electrical
equipment, thus affecting the normal operation of the equipment.
II. What problems will grounding cause?
1. Safety issues. Once the DC system is grounded, a large amount of current will flow to
the ground, causing electric shock accidents, and once a fault occurs, a large-scale fire
will form.
2. System stability issues. Grounding will greatly reduce the system impedance, thereby
reducing the circuit stability, and it is easy to have problems such as current imbalance
and system instability.
3. Electromagnetic interference issues. Grounding causes contact between the
equipment and the ground, thereby generating electromagnetic radiation and
electromagnetic signals of the grounding return line, which will interfere with the
operation of other electrical equipment.
